Introducing Freeform

Freeform is a new part of the Ectype project.

Each month there will be a new page which shares a variety of resources that are already free to use, whether they are in the public domain or creative commons, with links to where they can be found and accessed. These collections may form around a theme or subject, type of media, or be put together by a guest curator.

The aim for Freeform is to encourage people to engage more with digital resources that are available as part of the public domain and creative commons.

Every piece of art is inspired and borrows from the work that came before it. As artists we should strive to be more open about our sources in the hopes that it will inspire others, so that participating in art, whether as a viewer or a maker, can be something which is for everyone.

The first collection of resources for Freeform will be posted at the start of December.
